Sin City Anime's 2020 guest list
We had an outstanding guest roster for our 2020 online event. Check out their profiles and follow them where it counts, this page shall be edited away at the start of the new year.
Coming all the way from Japan, Jekyll is bringing the entire band this time to rock it out with us in Sin City!
Last year's performances were an absolute blast. They performed three separate concert performances with their singer, guitarist and basist. This year Sin City Anime is investing more into their experience and we are excited to bring out their drummer as well! They are crazy excited to perform again for us here in the states, check out their videos, support their album release, and don't miss their show!
This year's performance is going to be on another level. Look forward to more marketing and updates coming soon!

Black Ros3
With just two members, the BLACKROS3 duo utilizes their skills in multiple instruments to record and layer tracks, as well as inviting guest performers to create powerful and engaging live performances with the essence of that full-band punch.
History
We started this group back in 2017 when we decided to move out of state. At the time, both of us had many years of experience in notable anime bands in our area; but the move wouldn’t realistically allow us to keep performing with the close group of band mates we’ve formed. Still wanting to perform, and share our passions of nerdom; we created BLACKROS3 which would allow us to continue playing as a duo wherever we go.
We wanted to have fun and continue exploring the rocking beats, powerful vocals, and unique songwriting styles used in Japanese music, but we also wanted to introduce our own spin on some of our favorite songs. We adapt our favorite songs to fit our own skills and setup, while making unique twists such as memorable instrumental renditions, and lyric translations. With just a main group of two members, we still strive for that full band experience, so there’s a lot of work we’ll place behind the scenes to make that happen. Sometimes, this includes collaborating with some of the other talented people we’ve met along our journey, but at our core we are multi-instrumentalists who experiment with different instruments both on-stage and in the recording booth to bring our shows to life. You can regularly see Vanessa shuffling between Vocals, Violin, Bass, and Guitar, or listening into Michael’s guitar and bass backing tracks while he’s busting a face-melting solo. We play because it’s our passion, and we hope that our crowd connects with the love that we share for the songs that we play.
The Name
BLACKROS3 means a lot of things to us. This ranges from card games, to memorable songs, to some general coolness. A major connection is our love of the Yu-Gi-Oh card game. This interest of ours stems back to our childhoods where Michael competed competitively and Vanessa focused her plant deck around the Black Rose Dragon card. In a more musical connection, Rose by Anna Tsuchiya (from the anime Nana) was a staple song in both of our previous band’s set, and became something we quickly identified to. Lastly, domain names are just hard to find. The 3 in our name doesn’t have much hidden meaning, but we like to think that our special guest performers or our audience can be that special 3rd member that makes each event special.
Our Mission
We aim to keep playing and bringing smiles to peoples faces. We want to continue to grow, inspire, and play music that we love.
Decaying Tigers
We are Decaying Tigers, a chiptune band from Las Vegas, NV.
The year is 2020 and you may think these are modern times . We are so far from modern that it is the retrofuture. Your monopolized computer and technology corporations have all been demolished and now rely on a small network of hackers.
Our main tool for all life is the Nintendo Gameboy. Manufactured in 1989. Yes, you can probably play Tetris for fun, but it is much more useful to us than just that. By harvesting the small amount of energy from discarded dying batteries, when placed inside the Gameboy, we get our nutrients from a plasma conversion within our helmets directly to our brain.
By using the outdated technology program LSDJ, that taps into the hardware chip, we are able to create original 8-bit music. This is the only reason for continuing the cyberpunk humanity, what's left of us anyway.
Cheyne Shirley - Bass & Gameboy Programming
Jack Rubenstien - Keytar & Gameboy Programming
Austin Grimes - Electronic Drums

Jez Roth
Jez Roth started sewing at the age of 13 on small crafts and at the local dance studio before falling in love with the art of cosplay at Katsucon 1998.
After many years of competing at anime convention masquerades, winning Best in Show 16 times with tailored costumes and heavily choreographed skits, he moved to Las Vegas to work for The Venetian designing the Opera Gowns. Eventually he landed at Cirque du Soleil's water spectacular O building costumes. Since leaving Cirque, he has worked freelance out of his own studio - creating everything from mermaids that shoot water, to Mirrorball Men, and Golden Fairies that contort through the air. Roth has designed for events with A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardiashian, Eva Langoria, Snoop Dogg, and DJs such as Benny Benassi, and Dash Berlin; his jewelry has even been worn on the red carpet at the Billboard Awards.
He has represented the United States at the IOEA Otaku Expo in Japan as a Cosplay Guest and also helped choose the Canadian World Cosplay Summit representative for 2016. He believes that the world of costuming is an endlessly fascinating pursuit-from armor to gowns, giant puppetry to monsters. He shares unique events that educate and involve the community, (such as Lip Sync For Your Cosplay) and has restructured and organized cosplay events for conventions in his goal to make the competition scene more mainstream. His artistic journey came full circle in 2015 when he was hired as an Artistic Consultant for One Piece: Gold film, working with Toei Animation to give their film a fully realized Las Vegas feel.
